Use analgesics.Taking analgesic can help relieve and suite the pain. Common pain killers like ibuprofen and acetaminophen (Paracetamol) can do the job. They are good at relieving pain so you can get it at the local or neighborhood pharmacy. You can also buy aspirin for this purpose as they do the same thing.Do your activities gently.Take your daily activities gently. Do not rush or suddenly run off to do a task. Get up gently and let your muscles get accustomed to the task or motion. Do so in a step by step process to educate your muscle on the activity you are performing. Do not overload your muscles.
A cramp can easily relax and ease off but in a muscle spasm, that part of the body or muscles usually locks and is immobile.The most common place spasm occurs are usually the back and the neck. Gently sit down and let your knees touch your skin. Sit or squat in this position until there is no pain. This technique should help release the muscle fibers and help them relax.Use a little CryotherapyApplying a cold rub with ice or a cold towel can help relief the pain easily. If you can't reach the area, you can ask a friend to help you. What the ice or cold towel does is that they help open up the vessels (Vasodilation) but they do so by narrowing and open it wide. This helps nutrients and blood as well as factors that help release stress rush into the area, nourish it and ease or remove the pain. Make sure to spread the contact of the ice all over the area, that is, move the ice or wet cold towel through the area.
